Cathy has been making art most of her life. Exploring and experimenting with various mediums, she draws from her previous artistic adventures to create fresh, exciting pieces that stimulate and evoke emotions in those who view them. Strongly influenced by nature and history, her pieces demonstrate balance and form both pleasing to the eye and comfortable to wear.
Her lampwork beads are very unique, utilizing silvered reactive glass, fine silver that is melted into the glass and handmade shards to provide texture. She works in sterling silver, gold, pure copper, precious and semi precious gemstones, often combing them together for contrasts and interest. Most components are handmade. No two pieces are the same.
Paintings are acrylic, beeswax encaustic and various mixtures of media.
