The Manitoba Fibre Festival was a big hit this year! What am I saying? It’s always a big hit! Each year it’s busy.
It’s a place to buy and sell. There are always lots of wool producer with fabulous local blends and fancy fibres. I always go home with around 6 hats worth, 5 pairs of mitts worth and plenty more. The producers sell their wool, the buyers buy finished items- thank you my faithfull tribe- it’s a friendly fibre frenzy! I love listening to the sheep, alpacas and goats conversations all day. Right now I’m working on hats made from one of the vendors there- getting ready for fall 2020. Ugh.....

I’ve always been “a maker” of things. I used to teach glassbead making at Prairie Glass in Wpg. The beads were so beautiful and small, like a tiny piece of original art. I liked to string them together wilh loops of sterling wire.
it wasn’t long before the love of silver grabbed me and I was ordering sheet sterling, and designing and creating one of a kind jewellery, encorporating fabulous genuine stones.
and so it began.
